I\u2019m Maureen Ker, a curriculum specialist, educational editor and writer who works at the intersection of learning, language and childhood development. I design and refine English curriculum resources, and help teachers and students navigate learning with clarity and confidence. My work spans Singapore and Seattle, where I collaborate with publishers, educators and content teams to create materials that are rigorous, accessible and grounded in real classroom needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hold a B.S. in Biology and an MA in Journalism, and I bring that editorial discipline into every project \u2014 from shaping narrative flow to translating complex ideas into clear, accessible learning experiences. I\u2019ve written across multiple subjects and levels, and I\u2019m especially drawn to topics that help children build the life skills, habits and mindsets that support long\u2011term learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My book, Life Skills to Prepare for Primary 1<\/a><\/em>, was a finalist for the 2026 Singapore Book Awards. It reflects my belief that readiness is not about racing ahead academically, but about helping children develop confidence, independence and emotional resilience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m passionate about creating resources that teachers trust, students enjoy and parents find genuinely useful. Whether I\u2019m editing a workbook, modelling an essay, refining a rubric or writing a commentary, my goal is always to make learning feel clear, accessible and within reach for every child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
